The Tricolor Triplets

If it’s not evident by now, I’ll just have to say it again: I love all animals; birds, insects (most, at least and the rest I respect) and I do not have favorites.  Well, they are all my favorites!  So, there!  Today, I’m going to introduce you to ONE of those–the Tricolor Heron.  For those who are not familiar with this glorious rendition of nature’s delightful gift, here’s a full long scroll:

But the story doesn’t stop there. I want to tell you about the juveniles who have to have the most expressive eyes and beaks and legs and bodies–oh I could go on for miles–in the wading bird world.  (‘Course I know I’ll contradict myself  later and say some other creature who grabbed my heart is THE ONE.  So, “plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose’, etc. ;D).

Anyway, here’s a little glimpse at these babies and I’ll be back  to tell you about the Tricolor Triplets in a few days:

On a more serious note, here’s something to listen to: The Day After Tomorrow by Joan Baez.  Come back to see the triplets!
