Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

After long months of no rain in these parts, we’ve been smiled upon with frequent showers over the last few days. I was motivated to get out in the yard and check out the changes. The grass has changed from crunchy hay to a few sprouts of green here and there. The plants that died a swift death from the frost at the start of the year burst out in color. Butterflies of different hues danced in the air and a few Gopher Tortoises emerged from their dens to get a snack.

Ah! The joys that the rain brings! The Poinciana trees in the neighborhood came out in vibrant oranges and reds a few weeks earlier this year and cheered us all no end. In a week or so, I’ll post some images of them.
