Happy Mother’s Day, all you human, bird, critter, animal, insect Mom out there. Now, listen up y’all: A Mom’s job ain’t easy. Jest take a look at the picture above: That’s me in the foreground with my jackass bro, Antoine. He’d pretend that I had fish in my beak and would torture me until I spat it out. Which I counnent–’cause there wasn’t no fish in tha first place. Drove Mom crazy. Dad would jest laugh and say: “Boys will be boys” which drove Mom even more crazy. Well, I survived the jackass days and now Antoine is one of my bestest frienddes. But Moms really do a lot more than they are thanked for: they make the nest, lay the eggs (cringe), lay on the eggs, turn the eggs, make the nest, clean the nest, furnish the nest, decorate the nest, fish, regurgitate (no clue what that means–Ms P made me include it), fish again, clean our feathers, keep us warm in cold weather, teach us to clean our feathers, teach us to fly, give us lovin’, and THAIN, the worst ever–give us our freedom to fly away where ever we want. So, Moms deserve a HUGE appreciation. Yes!
Now here are a few more pics of Moms and little ones in these here parts:
